“Lands’ End is a well known clothing retailer which operates from their 240,000 square foot, state of the art distribution centre in Rutland. The company has been in the industry since 1963 and has grown from their origins in Wisconsin, USA to supply most of Europe through their online network.
Quantum Construction worked on the multi million pound extension to their European distribution centre, delivering the project ahead of schedule whilst meeting the detailed environmental challenges imposed by the client.
Adam Osbourne, Facilities Manager for the Lands’ End Company says, “Quantum Construction has provided our company with a successful and efficient service on the extension of our facility. They are always ready and willing to help with any enquiry and we are extremely pleased with the service our company has received.”
Projects - Telford College
The existing motor vehicle workshop required to have its layout altered in order to allow the incorporation of some new equipment. The specification of both the finishes and building services were upgraded.
In a tight programme whilst the College was closed for summer, the workshop layout was altered incorporating new in situ concrete pits being formed in the floor to receive new machinery, demolishing old walls and construction of new walls to form an office. Two new vehicle access doors
were also installed within the front elevation of the workshop.
The upgrade of the services included adapting the existing electrical installation, installing a new compressed air system and fume extraction system and re-routing existing gas and water services to suite the new arrangements.
The workshop was re-decorated throughout and a new epoxy floor finish installed.
