Testimonials

“Lands’ End is a well known clothing retailer which operates from their 240,000 square foot, state of the art distribution centre in Rutland. The company has been in the industry since 1963 and has grown from their origins in Wisconsin, USA to supply most of Europe through their online network.

Quantum Construction worked on the multi million pound extension to their European distribution centre, delivering the project ahead of schedule whilst meeting the detailed environmental challenges imposed by the client.

Adam Osbourne, Facilities Manager for the Lands’ End Company says, “Quantum Construction has provided our company with a successful and efficient service on the extension of our facility. They are always ready and willing to help with any enquiry and we are extremely pleased with the service our company has received.”

The project consisted of a new 32,000 sq. ft. (3000 sq. m) warehouse and 5,400 sq. ft. (500 sq. m) of office space with external yard areas.

Constructed on a new industrial park the works had to be coordinated with other contractors working within the same area with shared access.

The steel framed warehouse has been designed to serve as a new distribution facility for Matthew Clark, a nationwide wholesale drinks distributor.

The incorporation of a cold store along with level access and dock levellers enables the end user flexibility with their vehicle fleet and products.

The design and implementation of the contract was carried out to a BREEAM Very Good standard, a benchmark as to the impact and performance of the building from conception through to end use.
