Design and Build project for construction of new distribution warehouse 6,039m2 (65,000sq.ft.) including 557m2 (6,000sq.ft.) two storey office facility. Commissioned by Hortons’ Estate on behalf of MetalFin UK Ltd.

Due to the loading characteristics of the racking system to carry stainless steel products to be placed in the warehouse, the floor will be constructed to accept 60kN/m2 superimposed
load. The ‘joint less’ construction allows for placement of heavy duty rack system at any position within the warehouse.

A quartz based finish will be applied to the concrete floor and acid etched in key areas to increase slip resistance. Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) has been adopted by introduction of an eco-friendly drainage run off pool designed to handle storm water from vehicle hardstandings.

An extensive service yard, including security fencing and gates, complete with car parking and landscaping, form the external work for the development.
