Refurbishment of existing warehouse 14,864m2 (160,000sq.ft.), incorporating two storey office accommodation of approximately 600m2 (10,000sq.ft.).

Works included removal of redundant laboratory and food processing facility, comprising two storey steel frame structure with precast concrete floors, within the main warehouse envelope.  Redundant processing equipment, including 15m high exhaust chimney, were removed during demolition period.

Compliance works to satisfy the local Fire Regulations (Manchester Act) included erection of compartment walls to segregate the main sections of warehouse, as well as to heal
the joint with remaining offices.

Warehouse heating and lighting, smoke ventilation, security monitoring and fire alarm systems, including all mechanical doors, were all overhauled and serviced.

Office refurbishment included upgrading and replacement of existing lighting installation, servicing and overhauling of heating system, redecoration and new floor finishings throughout.

External works included replacement of extensive sections of linear drainage and adjacent  concrete hardstandings, along with general remedial works to wall & roof cladding elements.
