“Quantum recently carried out a complex re-roofing and upgrading project of a 60,000 sq.ft. warehouse at Parkhouse Interchange, Newcastle-Under-Lyme for London based Newcombe Estates. This involved the complete replacement of the 1980’s asbestos roof and re-fitting of the offices. The three month project was carried out during one of the worst winters in recent history but was completed successfully.”

Modern single storey building to house a new Art, Design and Photography Studio, incorporating a fully glazed façade, complete with automatic bi-parting glass doors.
A fully glazed two storey link building and corridor, with disabled lift access, creates the bridge between the new facility and adjoining structures. The envelope is formed by a structural glazing system, again complete with automatic biparting glass doors.
Works incorporated alterations to the adjacent Medieval Hall, a Grade II listed building which dates back to the 14th Century.
Piled foundations with reinforced concrete ground beams support the structural steel frame which, in turn, carries a Falzinc standing seam pitched roof.
The envelope is formed of a combination of brick and glazed elevations.
All works carried out within an existing restricted courtyard area within an operational College environment.
