The Little Peoples Nursery building is located in Barras Lane, a built up area close to the City Centre in Coventry.

The scheme required the existing nursery building to be extended into the play area at the rear of the building.

The extension was created by utilising two preformed modular units which were set on new foundations. A new facing brick skin, roof trusses and tiled roof were then installed to envelope the modular units to give the appearance of a continuation of the original building.

All services were then connected back into the original building whilst the fire and security alarms were enhanced.

Externally a new soft fall play surface was incorporated along with a new timber framed canopy above to enable the play area to be used in wet weather.
