“Lands’ End is a well known clothing retailer which operates from their 240,000 square foot, state of the art distribution centre in Rutland. The company has been in the industry since 1963 and has grown from their origins in Wisconsin, USA to supply most of Europe through their online network.
Quantum Construction worked on the multi million pound extension to their European distribution centre, delivering the project ahead of schedule whilst meeting the detailed environmental challenges imposed by the client.

The works comprised of the redevelopment of 53,800 sq ft (5,000 sq mt) of retail units complete with full strip back to structural steel frame with new wall and roof cladding.
Subdivision of units, complete with shop fronts and core services are being undertaken to achieve the CAT A works.
Externally, new service yards were constructed complete with extensive retaining structures and new landscaping.
All paved areas were removed and replaced with improved drainage systems where required.
External lighting, cycle stands and general landscaping works were completed up to adjacent retail units.
During the contract an instruction was issued to include the construction of 2 new retail pods within the scheme.
